Aunt Bea – Waco Pet Photographer

You may have seen this picture before.  It’s of Aunt Bea and her new owner James and sister Serena (white dog).  She was a resident at the Humane Society of Central Texas.  Very sad story.  She was brought in after her owner passed away.  His son dropped her off.  As he was leaving, staff asked what her name was.  He replied he didn’t know.  Absolutely heartbreaking.

But now, she is happy as a clam in her new home.  The shelter asked me to photograph her with her new family since she had become a favorite of staff and volunteers.  It was my pleasure!!

Bubbles was a long time resident of the Humane Society of Central Texas.  She caught the eye of two girls one day as the family walked thru the kennels.  The dad said he was looking for a German Shepherd but couldn’t resist the instant bond the girls seemed to have with this little one.  So instead of adopting a GSD that day, they brought home Bubbles.

Yesterday morning I had the privilege of photographing Parker and Rocky.  Rocky is a foster for the local humane society.  Parker is a repeat customer.  This go around we were trying  for Christmas card photos.

We started the session with some ball chasing and exploring.  Parker happened upon a block of wood which led to some keep away!

Poor Rocky just wasn’t fast enough to keep up!  After burning some energy, we got down to business.

Mid-session we headed back in the wooded area.  Unfortunately, I let the dogs “find” the tank!

We had some mud dogs on our hands then!  But the parents were troopers.  We went on with our shoot, dirty dogs and all!

These two guys were so well behaved.  And you can see the love shared by the family.  Rocky did good getting this foster family!  I hope he finds a forever home just as awesome.

I can’t think of anything better than spending a morning photographing a great family.

How flattered was I when asked to take these engagement pictures.  Sue Ann and I were childhood friends.  I have such fond memories of our slumber parties and her mother’s cooking!  The best, I tell ya!  So when she asked me to take her engagement pictures, I couldn’t say no.  But I have to tell ya, people pictures stress me out more than pet pictures.  Let’s see how it went…

Of course, I couldn’t leave without a picture with the dogs!!
